METALLICA Track Performed On 'Canadian Idol'
August 17, 2005METALLICA's version of BOB SEGER's "Turn the Page" was performed by one of the surviving six hopefuls on "Canadian Idol" Tuesday night (August 16).
Rex Goudie received the loudest performance of the night, when he sang the track, according to CTV.ca.
With the microphone stand in tow, Goudie darted in and out of centre stage as he interacted with several of the band members.
"You're stiff as a rock but you roll with soul baby," judge Farley Flex said.
While singer Sass Jordan also called Goudie "the stiffest man on the planet," she appreciated his natural instincts.
"You got the vibe. You got it down Rex, that's the stuff," she said.
Zack Werner called his stage movements "contrived nonsense" but at the end shrugged his shoulders and said, "It's probably not going to matter anyway."
Jake Gold, on the other hand, told Goudie: "It's all about passion and that's what you have."
"Canadian Idol"'s six survivors get to rock out one more time before someone gets the boot on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET on CTV.
